John Held Jnr. - Postcard

This postcard was sent back in 1995/6 from Dallas Texas where John was curating a show called Faux Post - all about artistamps. Stamps on the card were designed by the A.1.Waste Paper Co. Ltd. Read an interview with John HERE.

Ryosuke Cohen - Brain Cell stamp sheet

Just half of a large A3 sheet from Ryosuke from around the mid 90's. This on-going project is almost up the 1000 editions sent out since the mid 80's. These Brain Cells have been made using the Gocco printing machine. You can find his website HERE.

DATA Attic - photocopy

Interesting open letter to all UK mail arters back in 1987 from Pete Horobin in the DATA Attic in Dundee. I wonder what response he got? I never heard anymore about it as far as I remember. Interesting to see the list of those UK mail artists active at that time. Sadly mostly now dead or doing something else! Even Pete changed his name and became another person!

Hazel Jones - Envelopes and enclosures






Hazel sent these back in 1983/4  when we were courting. She was a student at Alsager College near Crewe in Cheshire studying for her craft degree.  The A1 notepaper has contributions by Hazel, Blaster Ackerman, Snowwhite Jung and Eric Finlay. Eric Finlay - Colour photocopy

Eric sent this in 1990 from London. It comprises of two parts - the top image taken from the TV during a showing of "The Rebel" starring Tony Hancock - one of Eric's favourite films. The bottom image is a recycled envelope from me that is well travelled.
