35 odd years of mail art, networkings and related postal ephemera from the A.1.Waste Paper Co. Ltd.
Paper pulp pants made by Cracker Jack Kid (Chuck Welch) about 1995. Also a NEONICS rubber stamp sent around the same time.
And in purple, nae less! Woo Woooo!!!
Not sure of the significance of this?
Thinks they are fabulous! Whata kinky fun art project! Notice theUSZ stamps across the waistband?
Cracker Jack also sent me a paper cast from a mould of my belly button I sent him - another crazy project! he collected quite few moulds from mail artists around the world silly enough to shave their tummies and lay on the floor whilst the plaster set! Those were the days!
Yeah... I've seen Cracker's "Navel Academy" display... being rather new to mail art at the time I was VERY impressed... I suppose that I still am. I missed alot of great projects from the 80's.
A belly button mould?!!! Tee hee...OMG!
Yes, it seemed more silly stuff was going on then. projects based on Puns and word play. Navel academy! I'd forgotten it was called that. I wonder if he based the whole thing around this play on words? We could ask him but I think he's a folk singer now and has triplets to feed!
